Respecting the historic typologies of this established neighbourhood, the design of this house is a modern interpretation of existing bungalows with the combined sloped and flat roof line, and the interplay between materials.
A modern, open concept design, the house is designed to provide natural light throughout and to maximize the views down to the Elbow River. Walnut, Cedar and White Oak elements are used to bring warmth throughout the house.
An in-ground planter bed provides a touch of nature within the house, while helping purify the air. Above is a double height space with operable skylights – providing natural light and ventilation.
